     The afternoon sun is sinking behind the hill as you meet in an historic building or home for a cup of wassail before you are served the Old-Fashioned Christmas Dinner prepared especially for you.
     The horse and carriage ride awaits to take you up and down the festive streets of Tennessee's Oldest Town. While some are taking the carriage ride the rest will be strolling the streets on the lamplight following the soft glow of your costumed tour guide's lantern. While listening to the stories and anecdotes of Historic Jonesborough don't be surprised if a character from the past steps out of a nook or cranny to share their story with you.
     Now it's time to change places and those taking the carriage ride will stroll the streets and those who experienced the lantern tour will enjoy the carriage ride. The stars twinkling in the sky, the clouds lazily rolling across the heavens and the cool winter air nipping at your nose signal an end to your "Old-Fashioned Christmas" in Jonesborough.      Need a bit of nonsense to relieve the stress of the Holiday Season? Come to Historic Jonesborough and do a bit of "foolin' around." Your tour begins by a fool hi-jackin' your group. After your rescue you'll visit our historic buildings and homes that are still lived in on the "Fool's Home Tour." The history of Tennessee's Oldest Town comes alive through stories and anecdotes shared by your guides who are wearing their festive holiday clothes inside out. Imagine that?
     There's time to visit our quaint shops for a bit of Christmas shopping before you partake of the zaniest Old-Fashioned Christmas Dinner you've yet to experience. There is entertainment before, during and after your meal that'll tickle the child within you. Features include:
