The Oldest Town in Tennessee comes alive through its stories. Enjoy a leisurely stroll down the brick sidewalks of Jonesborough - the Gateway to the West and home of the International Storytelling Center. You will never know our "inside stories" unless you join us for your very own personal tour.

Your guide will share the legends, stories and unusual happenings of Jonesborough's past and present on this ghostly tour. Some have called this a ghost walk, others a sharing of mysteries, decide for yourself. It is exciting and titillating and most important, it's good old fashion fun.

The stories will be a little different on each tour because the oldest town in Tennessee has far too many stories to share on just one dark evening. Legends, Whispers and Mysteries is a tasteful blend of stories and legends handed down from family to family and hearth to hearth.

From Knoxville: I-40 East. Split off onto I-81 North to Bristol TN. Take Johnson City Exit 57A to I-26 East. Take Exit 38 (turn right) to Hwy 354 South (Boones Creek Road). Go approximately 7 miles to traffic light. Go straight through the traffic light to Boone Street to the Jonesborough Visitors Center.

From Ashville, North Carolina: I-26 West. Cross the Appalachian Mountain chain. Take Exit 38 (turn right) Hwy 354 South (Boones Creek Road). Go approximately 7 miles to traffic light. Go straight through the traffic light to Boone Street to the Jonesborough Visitors Center.

From Bristol, Virginia: I-81 South to Exit 57A to I-26 East. Take Exit 38 (turn right) to Hwy 354 South (Boones Creek Road). Go approximately 7 miles to traffic light. Go straight through the traffic light to Boone Street to the Jonesborough Visitors Center.
